Jazzie Young Releases Debut Album Everything Changes
LA Indie Darling Delivers Her Most Vulnerable and Expansive Work Yet with 10-Track Collection Exploring Love, Growth, and Life's Beautiful Uncertainty.
Out Globally on August 29, 2025.
LA-based indie songstress Jazzie Young announces her highly anticipated debut full-length album Everything Changes, arriving August 29th, 2025. The 10-track collection represents Young's most introspective and sonically expansive work to date, weaving together themes of romantic vulnerability, emotional growth, and the constant evolution of our inner worlds.
Everything Changes is a deeply personal journey through the messy beauty of human connection. From the breathless rush of new attraction captured in lead single "It Could Be Good" to the haunting self-reflection of "Speckled Yellow Eyes," Young crafts a sonic landscape that feels both intimately confessional and universally relatable.
The album opens with the critically acclaimed "Waiting On You!" - already making waves as one of 2025's standout indie tracks - before diving into the dreamy euphoria of "Light Headed" and the Sofia Coppola-inspired introspection of "Lux." Young's honeyed vocals dance over richly textured production, creating an irresistible soundscape that fans of Clairo and Gracie Abrams will find magnetic.
“Everything Changes is an album that explores the emotional journey of what it is to exist and feel deeply. It follows the ups and downs that I’ve experienced from both externally driven relationships and the relationship that I have with myself. The constant evolution that takes place within that always leads me back to the never ending question of “who am I?”. The prospect of change is something that I find myself regularly chasing, always searching for around every bend. It’s also the thing that I fear the most, a threat to the comfort I’ve grown to love. That dichotomy is something I find really persistent in my thoughts, and was something I wanted to expand on sonically and lyrically in my debut album.” - Jazzie Young on the album.
Standout tracks include the vulnerable title track Everything Changes, which explores the fear of growing apart from someone you love, and the bold "Mr Casual" - an upbeat middle finger anthem to situationships that's already been acclaimed by NYLON Magazine as a summer 2025 favorite. The collection closes with the haunting "Family Tree," a meditation on legacy and connection that showcases Young's growth as both a songwriter and storyteller.
Blending vintage pop sensibilities with modern alt-edge, "Everything Changes" cements Young's place as a voice for the quietly complicated - a soundtrack for those learning to let go while holding onto themselves. The album features production collaborations with John Velasquez, Grace Freeman, and Campbell Burns, with contributions from acclaimed musicians including Daywave and drummer Florian Gouello.
