“Bluewater Dr is based on some real-life adventures during my stay on the West Coast earlier in the year (2024). At the time, I was still living in New York’s Harlem, pursuing a Master’s degree in Arts Management at Parsons while still being a full-time artist and producer. The name is inspired by an actual street in Malibu, called Bluewater Road. “You cannot slow me down, spinning this whole life ‘round,” is the opening line of the song. Being a female in the entertainment industry comes with its challenges and we do not get as much respect and recognition as we deserve. With this song, I wanted to empower all the beautiful women chasing their dreams on a daily basis, regardless of their line of work. It’s a personal liberation anthem.”
